New ship, always like to sail the new NCL ships. This one is going to be a winner for Alaska with the beautiful Observation Lounge. The color scheme on this ship is very appealing and soothing to us. We enjoyed the mornings, afternoons, and some evenings on that lounge. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast and light lunches each day. We had a spa balcony, whereas we usually do a spa mini-suite, but they were sold out early on, and we enjoyed the spa experience every day.

The ship has the usual features we like about NCL with the various specialty dining choices. There are two excellent bars on board in our opinion. Sugarcane, with the ever-funny and top-notch bartender, Bong. The other is the Observation Lounge bar. Every bartender there is very interactive with passengers, sharing beverage tips and stories.

As with all of our NCL cruises, it is really important to pre-book both entertainment and specialty dining. We never had a glitch the entire week. Overally, embarkation/disembarkation was smooth and fast. Although we have read some negatives about the food and service, we never had any issues with any of it.

Cabin Review

Spa Balcony Stateroom

Although we prefer a spa mini-suite for the extra room, they were not available this time. The cabin is fine, although a little smaller than we like! Decor is fine, bedding very nice.
