This cruise fit into our time line for our 2 months in Florida each year. I choose cruises more based on where it disembarks from and length than where they sail to. My wife had been to all of the ports previously but she likes to cruise so we always enjoy the time regardless of where we sail to.

We have been on the Epic before and found the entertainment top notch. The food is what I expected and the cruise staff was always there to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and having a good time. The restaurants and service is always very good and in general we enjoy Norwegian for the entertainment and activities. We find that there is always something to do.

I do have concerns about the Epic as a ship. Having been on a few other ships I find the Epic to be hard to navigate. The lounges and common areas are a bit small to accomadate the audience sometimes and this is a problem. Specifically, in the Atrium there are a lot of game shows and activities that occur, but when you sit in the area to watch on the "big screen" you can't see if your 4 or 5 rows back because there is a ceiling that blocks you view. The design of the ship in comparison with others I've been on could have been much better.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IF

My wife is afraid of heights so we will never get a balcony as she would not go near it.

She likes the inside cabins so we always get an inside and that makes her happy.

The cabin layout on the Epic is unique and ok for a married couple but might be awkward for a family. With the shower on one side of the entry door and the toilet on the other and the sink in the "room", there is not much privacy. Other than that we found the cabin to have plenty of storage for our belongings and easy to navigate and comfortable for sleeping.
