This cruise provides unusual and interesting ports of call. You will experience everything from topical weather to cold, breezy blasts!! Our trip around Cape Horn was unbelievable. Sunny and calm seas. Very unusual. Glacier and penguin viewing was another great plus to this cruise. Some days we experienced very rough seas with 70 per mile winds and 14 foot sea swells. The ship was really rockin' and rollin'! All outside decks were off-limits, but that occurred on only two days. Our stateroom was on Plaza deck forward and was very noisy when coming into and leaving the ports of call. Check room location next time!!! Ship's shore excursions are way over-priced. I did a bit of research before leaving and was able to get exact same excursions for half the price that ship was offering. In fact, the excursion bus followed us to the Penguin Reserve and the only difference we found was that the Ship's box lunch had a piece of fresh fruit that we didn't get and the cost was about double of our cost!!! Outstanding staff on the Star. Some of the best service I have ever received with any cruise line.
