We arrived at the Airport in Fort Lauderdale and where met by a Celebrity Representative who helped with out luggage and arranged transport to our hotel Embassy Suites. Celebrity always give you a good hotel and we where not disappointed with this one at all. We actually had a suite which was really very spacious and very nice. The hotel is only around 10 minutes from Port Everglades and we could actually see the Equinox from our balcony window. We had an extra day in Fort Lauderdale pre cruise as we like the place so much. On the sailing day we where collected from our Hotel at 11am so where at the cruise port quite early. We boarded straight away so had the opportunity to look around the ship. I have seen pictures on the Internet but nothing prepares you for the ship itself it is absolutely magnificent the decor and furnishing are beautiful as is the attention to detail, Fresh Orchids in the Ladies Restroom and the sinks are quite amazing. We where very impressed with our stateroom, which was Aqua Class, the shower was quite something as was the huge and very comfortable bed! All the little extras like umbrella's, binoculars, champagne and fruit and fresh flowers plus many many others. We ate in Blu which was lovely as the restaurant is smaller in size than the main dining room ( which is beautiful) there was always a very pleasant atmosphere. Donovan one of the waiters was a real character and added lots of humor to our mealtimes. Breakfast was great, the homemade muesli trolley had to been seen to be believed! It was our Wedding Anniversary so our special evening was spent in the Tuscany Grill where to our delight our waiter was the same one that we had on the Constellation it was lovely to see him again, the meal and service where excellent as was the cake we where presented with. The entertainment was brilliant as where the Captain and crew, special treat was when we where allowed to go through to the heliport when leaving Roatan, the view was amazing right at the bow of the ship, we met many of the officers and drinks where served it was really quite memorable. We are sailing next on the Eclipse, transatlantic from Southampton to Miami and I must say we are really looking forward to sailing on the newest Solstice Class ship.

Cabin Review

Cabin Aqu

Our cabin was very spacious especially the bathroom and balcony. We have never had so much room in a bathroom and the shower was amazing, as where the cupboards which enabled us to store our toiletries and therefore less clutter. We especially liked the dim light which was on all night just in case of bathroom visits, nice not to grope around in the dark or have to put the light on! The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Everything had been very cleverly thought of even down to the electric vanity mirror in the drawer and the 32" TV! Also the balcony furniture was good with reclining chairs and footstools. As we where Aqua Class we had Champagne on arrival and fresh flowers, fruit and canopies every day. The secret stairs to the Spa where also very welcome. The only complaint we had, which is really very small, it would have been nice to have an outside light on the balcony. Otherwise everything else was quite perfect
