Started out with a 3 hour wait to get on ship due to the “Holy Ship” fiasco. They were late getting passengers off ship because the authorities had to come on and arrest 15 passengers who were detained in ship jail, due to drug trafficking. We actually saw people being escorted off ship in handcuffs. Then a crane had to take the stage down off of top deck, all while we waited. By the way, there was a small sign in the corner stating “Porters are salaried employees, and tipping is not required”. This sign was hidden in a corner, after you paid the porters, who were aggressive. Security was lax, just to get the huge backlog of passengers on ship. By the time we got on, all food areas closed, had to run to Muster Drill. BTW, all staff were tight lipped on the arrests. A copy of the “Holy Ship” itinerary was left in my room and it showed the last music group ending at 5:30am on our embarkation day. Therefor, everyone was probably passed out in their cabins, drunk, with staff unable to wake them and get them off the ship. NCL sold out to the music festival and cheated next passengers out of first day of cruise.
Everywhere you go on ship, it smells. The smells ranged from spoiled milk to feces.
The staff looks overtired and grouchy. Our room steward was excellent though.
Dark with insufficient lighting.
