Sail Date: Jan 2019
Cabin: Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Our recent trip on the Bliss left a whole lot to be desired and while we did not feel listened to by guest services staff on the ship itself, we hope that NCL guest services as a whole would not dismiss our concerns as the ship staff did. However, per ncl.com, emails to and from guest services average out to a 15-day wait so I still have quite a while to wait and see how they respond.

The service on the Bliss was not up to par and both of us left with a sour taste in our mouths. We were both very excited about this cruise and were anxiously awaiting it for months. However, the experience has left us unwilling to even consider NCL ever again.

Bar staff that was difficult to get recognized and given drinks. The worst experience was a time where my boyfriend watched the bartender pour and try to serve him a glass of wine in a dirty glass. When he would not accept that glass of wine, the bartender got visibly frustrated and reluctantly poured another. We had the drink package, it would have made no difference numbers-wise if we had accepted that glass, left it on the bar, and ordered a new one. The attitude received for asking for a new glass was completely unnecessary.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

The cabin was nice and the balcony had enough room for us to both sit outside and enjoy the breeze. It was also on the port side of the ship which, in my opinion, had the better views while in port.

Port Reviews

Tortola

Gorgeous beach, not too crowded. Plenty of vendors for snacks/drinks if you dont bring your own. Only wish we had more time.

St. Thomas

Great catamaran, wonderful crew, beautiful scenery.

Nassau

Were told to meet on the pier at 12:50. Waited on pier for about 20 mins until we moved to another spot to wait. Waited as group after group moved forward, we stayed in one place. After close to an hour, we gave up and sought out a NCL rep for a cancellation and refund.

We rebounded the ship and we saw the catamaran sail off. Folks looked to be crowded on elbow-to-elbow. This group was larger than the group we had in St. Thomas/St. John and we were put on two catamarans for that excursion. Very pleased we left after the hour wait.
