The positive points are as follows: beautiful ship, laid out very nicely, and very clean; crew personnel were very friendly, polite, people oriented, caring, and a great asset for Viking; entertainment staff were excellent and we greatly enjoyed their performance, and their interaction with the passengers; cabins were very comfortable especially the bathrooms which were very spacious and loved the heated floors; restaurants offered great selection and service and food were excellent with the exception of the Chef Table - we were very disappointed with the food choices and service in the Chef Table. Our negative points are as follows: for the most part, the excursions (most of them were ones that we paid for) failed to meet our expectations. Several excursions were rushed and passenger's time were cut short or rushed to maintain schedule. Based on our experience, we feel the excursions were too pricey for what we received. We would be glad to provide specifics and those that we feel were not worth the money and failed to meet our expectations. We also feel that our last day in Auckland could have been better planned to provide more opportunities to see more of Auckland prior to our departure, rather than sitting in a conference room in a hotel for 6 or more hours.
