Cruise overall was excellent. We had 8 people in the 4 bedroom suite with the Royal genie service. I had sailed on oasis of the sea in 2017 in one of the aqua suites, also with the genie service. Comparing the two ships, largest difference the shows are better on harmony vs oasis. Oasis had ice cream shop and harmony did not. The self serve ice cream on the Harmony was only opened from 11-5 and selection was vanilla and strawberry on one side and chocolate and strawberry on the other side. Machines did not work well and was always full of waste because of children.

Because of the star class service, our check in was supposed to be expitated but when we arrived at the port, absolutely no one helped us find where we should check in and then when we finally were checked in and taken to wait for the genie in what was supposed to be a lounge with water etc, we were taken to some small seating area and the water station was being taken down at 11:30 am, when we sailed on the Oasis, we were met at the port, taken immediately on board to a large waiting area with refreshments. When Our genie Sabasition on Harmony met us he took us immediately to our room. He was always available and our room steward Bobby was excellent, one if not the best room steward we have had on any cruise. We were given a wrist strap because of star class, we were to wear it so the staff would know we were star class, although no one ever looked and we were always asked for our card. Not everyone on the ship follow the same rules, because some bars would give double shots for my husband’s drinks and some refused. There was a waiter in the suite lounge that was absolutely rude. You would ask something and he would tell you to stop and wait till he was ready to listen. Restaurants are about the same on both ships but the Italian restaurant on Harmony was much better and food was beyond good. Room service was good but no one could cook an egg correctly, over soft was over cooked everywhere. In the beginning orange juice was water down to the point it tasted like tang. Coffee was best from any cruise ship I have sailed on. There was always something to do on the ship because Royal Caribbean does it first class. Grease was good but not as good as Columbus the musical. The fine line was excellent. Comedy show for adults just ok, but the first female comedian was better that the second male comedian. He just went to the vulgarity and not really funny. The band that played on the promenade was excellent. Ice show was good, best part was the lighting show of the ice floor. Our port of calls were great, although San Juan could have been a little longer. Labadee was wonderful and excursion also excellent. I highly recommend the superman zip line, would have done it over and over if possible and I am a 60 year woman. The captain was great and personable. We were able to tour the bridge because of star class and also a cocktail party on the helipad was great. Wonderful views. My husband and I did a deep tissue bamboo massage and I will never do that again. No one did anything wrong but it was not enjoyable and the therapist was pushy on buying additional products. They need to change how they do photo package because I prepaid for all digital phots and still waiting to receive them. Today is Tuesday and we departed on Sunday. I have taken 6 carnival, 4 Disney, and 2 Royal Caribbean cruises and booked my third Royal Caribbean cruise on Symphony Of The Seas for 2021. Recommend Royal Caribbean to those who don’t want a million children on board. I do wish they would install escalators to relieve the elevator wait. Just install them instead of stairs. And to have at least one elevator for those with wheelchairs and one for strollers.
