Just off the Magic a day ago, had a "great time." Points I wanted to mention: 1) service in dining room and cabin was excellent, very friendly, all our needs met 2) check-in was shockingly quick, have cruised 20+ times, never had an embarkation like this, met right at door at pier building and had our boarding passes scanned and walked right onto ship, arrived about 10:30 and not sure if that had anything to do with it or not 3) food was wonderful in both dining room and buffet and other venues, went to BBQ on embarkation before the entire ship knew about it - only open on sea days so best time is during embarkation 4) Italian restaurant at lunch time is superb, you make your choice of pasta/sauce/etc.and are served, was wonderful 5) we were in cabin 12018 an Inside Cabin with a sideways layout - it was very spacious - I would suggest it was larger than the typical inside cabin - is three cabins down from gym but did not hear any dropping weights, etc. 6) music on ship was 'just' ok for us and that is why I am giving it four stars as opposed to five 7) also one thing Carnival has not yet perfected is turning the twin beds into a king without the mattresses not moving apart during the night and you end up with a space in the middle by morning 8) oh yes, the cakes offered at lunch time are absolutely wonderful, the best ever 9) I feel the Atrium was very dull and rather drab, other parts of ship nicer. Think that is what I wanted to hit in this review, thoroughly enjoyed our cruise, looking forward to next one.
