Cruise date-Feb.28 thru March 7th

Feb.27th-fort Lauderdale On this cruise with me was my DH and his sister and husband. Between us we have been on many cruises on many different lines. We went to Lauderdale a day early and stayed at Embassy Suites on 17th St. 9th floor east side so we could see cruise ships from balconies. This was a good hotel in a great location. We walked to Publix and the total wine store to get 12pk. of water and wine ect.. to take on board with us. Seems Princess lets you take almost anything but beer. Hotel offered free happy hour from 5:30-7:30 and it's not watered down drinks and draft beer either it's whatever you want. For Dinner we took another 5 min. walk on opposite side of hotel then the publix was to Outback steak house. What a good day we had! Day 1 Woke up early and watched all the cruise ships coming in. Took advantage of hotels free breakfast which was pretty good. Checked out at 10:30 decided to take a taxi instead of shuttle hotel offers because it was cheaper. Shuttle was $7.pp and it was only $10. for the 4 of us by taxi. We were on the ship and to our rooms around noon. Jimmy our cabin steward came right away to meet us. We had a mini suite on Dolphin deck and the room was great but the balcony had no roof coverage at all and we did not like that, so if you want coverage go up two decks to the reg. balcony rooms. For you beer drinkers, my DH learned that room service does not offer the 5 for the price of 4 buckets of beer in Budweiser it's only at the pool bar's which is no big deal just go up to deck 15 and bring it back to your room and don't forget to make sure you have a bottle opener. Checked out ship before dinner and have to tell you it's one of the most difficult layed out ship any of us have been on. We had set dinning in the Botticelli room, even though we only make it there about 4-5 nights we like the set time and we still make sure we tip our waiters. Went to the very small theater to see comedian which was very good but can't believe Princess made such a small theater for this size ship.

Day 2-Princess Cays We like to eat breakfast in the dining room instead of buffet as much as possible. Tendered over to Princess cays which is always a good day for drinks and BBQ lunch while you lay in the sun on the beach. The Temp. was only high 60's but the sun was great and to cold in the water so no snorkeling. The Production show in theater tonight with the emerald singers & dancers was not very good and personal opinion worst I have seen even compared to past princess Cruise's. This was very disappointing because I really look forward to all the shows.
