Cabin Review

Sky Suite

Cabin S1

Overall, we were very happy with our room. We were in a Sky Suite, very roomy and elegantly appointed with light colors that were very soothing. It did not have the infinite veranda, however the bed (a little on the firm side) faces the floor to ceiling sliding glass door providing a great view outside. Lights, heating, window drapes, and the television are all controlled via a panel on the wall. You can also control them from The Edge App on your cell phone (if you’ve downloaded) and you can also unlock your door with your cell phone. A very nice floor length lighted mirror is located on the wall next to the TV. The couch contains a queen sized, pull out bed, however missing in front is a coffee table for holding drinks, hors d’oeuvres, or a food tray. Taking up a lot os space is a huge rocking chair in the room that would easily accommodate a good sized 300 lb NFL lineman or two regular sized humans. Your feet don’t touch the floor when sitting all the way back in the chair. There is a safe but it’s about half the size of those on other Celebrity ships or the standard size you would find in a hotel. The nightstands next to the bed have been replaced with small cubbies to put stuff in. You have a power box on top of the dresser drawers where you can plug in your devices and there are USB outlets on the side of the bed next to the wall. There’s ample space underneath the bed for storing luggage, a large closet for hanging clothes, as well as shelves and drawers in another closet for storing other items.

The bathroom . . . well, a highlight! It’s large with a double sink, combination shower-tub that you won’t need a ladder to get in, and a door enclosing the throne room. Two sliding mirrors give plenty of area for beauty tasks and when opened, give you a view of the room, TV, and balcony through glass. The shower has large, Walmart size bottles containing shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. No chance of running out unless you spend your week in the bathroom!
