I cannot believe all the miserable reviews of this cruise - we have been on three cruises with three different cruise companies and while the other two (Princess and Royal Caribbean) were very good, the Price of America cruise around the Hawaiian islands was the best.

1/ Ship is just the right size

I want to feel I am really on a ship not a floating multi-storey hotel and amusement park. Pride is not too big, but big enough to provide for a number of restaurants, entertainment and cabin options.

Cabin Review

Balcony

See above. Although we rarely sat out on the balcony, I would always get a balcony cabin - wonderful to hear the sea at night with the door open or to go out on deck in the morning as the new landfall emerges.

Port Reviews

Hilo

HiLo is an interesting, historic town - worth looking at the town centre with its art deco architecture, going to the Tsunami Centre and we also enjoyed Imiloa Observatory

Kona (Kailua Bay)

Pretty ordinary place - basic tourist shopping although quite an attractive seafront
