This was our very first real family vacation in years and it did not disappoint!!! The Getaway is a beautiful and impressive ship! My family and I really appreciated how clean and perfect it always looked. We loved the many activites offered on the ship, especially for the kids. They really enjoyed the rope course and rock climbing wall. Although they did not participate in the teen club, there was plenty to do for all ages on this family friendly ship. We really loved the 'freestyle' aspect of this cruise, no set dinner times and no strick dress codes. The freedom to choose when and where we ate our meals was perfect for our family. The food was delicious in every restaurant we tried. Our top favorites were Shanghai, OSheehan's and ofcourse the buffet was always full of delicious choices. The staff was SO kind and friendly, they took such good care of us, especially our cabin steward, she was wonderful! They all work so hard and it did not go unnoticed. The staff was always happy to answer our questions and help in any way. They made embarkation and disembarkation clear and simple. We always felt comfortable and safe. The ports we visited were beautiful and we enjoyed many little adventures every day. This was definitely the most amazing family vacation we've ever had!! We cannot wait to book another cruise with Norwegian!!
