This was my first cruise deciding if the whole lifestyle was for me decided on a short 4 day cruise to the Bahamas! There are great things about this experience and generally off putting things as well. First off the staff is very friendly and attentive. I had a balcony King cabin on the 8th floor which was roomy if not really ugly. It was so dated and garishly designed that I was shocked to learn it was renovated in 2011. You get the basics barely cooling fridge and extra firm mattress. The view was incredible but not so much the guests next door who were kind of loud and trashy. Must be expected on an economy cruise. Our drain was so slow that the bathroom flooded every day. Everything else worked well in the room and I did like that the towels were always clean and room service excellent. The ship itself is DATED, it's so old and at times really smelly. Again the staff goes out of their way to really impress you but seriously who picked out these colors??? Food wise nothing beats the Steakhouse hands down amazing. Lunch was great and breakfast too even though how can you ruin breakfast? Dinner at the cafeteria was atrocious and man non of the desserts we're good. Always make plans and pay for dinner and you will be ok. The pools were ok even though they are rusted. Enjoyed the casino but it smelled bad some nights but I won $100 on the slots so don't feel bad. I would cruise again but maybe just not on the Liberty right away, great for the budget conscious and actually a lot of fun with the staff always happy to see you.
