Not many Cruise Ships had visited Adelaide South Australia before that allowed locals to embark on a journey from your home port without having to take an airline flight to meet the ship. Our journey was a cruise for Family and perhaps allowing my Grandsons to see another part of the world before they go to back to Primary School and High School as who knows when or where their next cruise will happen. The Golden Princess offered excursions that fitted the schedule as well as time ashore for shopping and general sight seeing. The Entertainment was World Class and every generation enjoyed stage shows, deck activities as well as children activities. The dining aboard can only be described as unbelievable with a variety of Restaurants, Deck Cafe's, International Cafe and Bar with staff that allow you to enjoy fine food, drinks and snacks that suit all ages. The Staterooms are comfortable and clean with stewards that are only to willing to assist day or night.
As far as the Golden Princess goes as a ship it had everything you could want for on a relaxing cruise, there are places like the Skywalk Area that if you want to read in the quiet then this is the place to go but at night it is a night club. I could not find one fault that would detract me from saying our cruise was one to remember, well done GOLDEN PRINCESS.
We chose our interior cabin as we were only there to get changed for dinner etc. and to sleep. It was comfortable and spacious for two people and it had the mini fridge,TV and plenty of hanging space for clothes along a bathroom. The decor was modern and there was plenty of light available for an interior cabin even at night with soft lighting offered.
This was our Home Embarkation Port
Been to Kangaroo Island before and had some time at Pennashore this cruise and the locals set up markets and plenty of support for passenger, Kingscote the main town on the island is one hour away so with limited transport time was spent just getting back to the land.
Second home town as I have family living there and just wandered around Marvel Stadium and shopping areas.
Great to see the sights around Akaroa on the way to Christchurch, tour driver was very interesting as he was the google of NZ, Christchurch was spectacular and to see the damage that the earth quake had done and the rebuilding of Christchurch was something to see and remember. a great tour and worth every dollar.View All 44 Christchurch City Tour Reviews
This is part of the day tour to remember, to look out over Wellington is Magical, this is rated next to San Franciscos Cable Cars, worth it every time.
This was a place that you need to see when visiting NZ, it has the culture and history that we all need to see and understand, there are great informative guides that explain and show you what made NZ it is today, take the time and you will not regret the cost.View All 28 Te Papa Museum Reviews
Unable to enter as it was to dangerous to put tender boats ashore, very windy and rough seas.
A magical Port and very cultural town, we chose to hire a vehicle and drive to Rotorua to see the Skyline Luge and Gondola, easy roads and magical country.
The tour of the city was fantastic as the coach driver took us to many places you would normally not visit or see, the Maritime Museum and Harbor Cruise was so interesting and peaceful when we venture onto an old Sailing Scow for a sail around Auckland harbor followed by the Museum visit, again a cultural experience worth taking.View All undefined undefined Reviews
