Not many Cruise Ships had visited Adelaide South Australia before that allowed locals to embark on a journey from your home port without having to take an airline flight to meet the ship. Our journey was a cruise for Family and perhaps allowing my Grandsons to see another part of the world before they go to back to Primary School and High School as who knows when or where their next cruise will happen. The Golden Princess offered excursions that fitted the schedule as well as time ashore for shopping and general sight seeing. The Entertainment was World Class and every generation enjoyed stage shows, deck activities as well as children activities. The dining aboard can only be described as unbelievable with a variety of Restaurants, Deck Cafe's, International Cafe and Bar with staff that allow you to enjoy fine food, drinks and snacks that suit all ages. The Staterooms are comfortable and clean with stewards that are only to willing to assist day or night.

As far as the Golden Princess goes as a ship it had everything you could want for on a relaxing cruise, there are places like the Skywalk Area that if you want to read in the quiet then this is the place to go but at night it is a night club. I could not find one fault that would detract me from saying our cruise was one to remember, well done GOLDEN PRINCESS.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin IB

We chose our interior cabin as we were only there to get changed for dinner etc. and to sleep. It was comfortable and spacious for two people and it had the mini fridge,TV and plenty of hanging space for clothes along a bathroom. The decor was modern and there was plenty of light available for an interior cabin even at night with soft lighting offered.

Port Reviews

Kangaroo Island

Been to Kangaroo Island before and had some time at Pennashore this cruise and the locals set up markets and plenty of support for passenger, Kingscote the main town on the island is one hour away so with limited transport time was spent just getting back to the land.

Melbourne

Second home town as I have family living there and just wandered around Marvel Stadium and shopping areas.

Wellington

This is part of the day tour to remember, to look out over Wellington is Magical, this is rated next to San Franciscos Cable Cars, worth it every time.

Tauranga

A magical Port and very cultural town, we chose to hire a vehicle and drive to Rotorua to see the Skyline Luge and Gondola, easy roads and magical country.
