This was our first cruise on the Divina or any MSC ship as a matter of fact. We choose it because for a 10 day cruise the value was right. Because of our extensve cruising we also qualified for the highest reward class the Voyagers Black Card which also offered extensive benefits. Getting started was great as boarding went smooth for us but we had priority boarding. Others we talked with said standard boarding was long and late.

Our first impression of the ship was pretty awesome. This ship is elegant and very beautiful it was decorated very high end and the layout was very open and airy. We really liked the ship. Our cabin was very nice and clean but a bit less modern that the newer ships, no charging stations or USB ports. I noted that the cabin was nice sized. It was an inside cabin on the eighth deck and certainly bigger than Carnival, Norwegian and others we have sailed with. Our cabin steward turned out to be just fine but did not sizzle or awe us.

Food was better than we had expected. We ate every evening meal in the dining room and enjoyed both the customary menu and the comfort menus. We tried them both and found the food was good to great. The buffet is where we ate breakfast and lunch and I thought it was better from a selection and quality perspective than most other ships we have been on. Still buffet food but at a good temperature and consistent quality.
