Sail Date: Jan 2019
Cabin: Interior

The updated staterooms are really beautiful and comfortable. Bathrooms feel larger. Activities were average, except for the last night Mardi party, which was a great way to end the trip. Only negative was the food. Though the service was wonderful, the food was lacking. In fact the most disappointing of any of the past 8 Carnival cruises I have taken. Hopefully this will improve after dry docking.

They were working on remodeling the cabins on the port side of our deck and the construction noises and smells were concerning at times. Especially the construction noises after 10 pm. But the results are worth it.

The public areas definitely are ready for the makeovet, which hopefully will include improve ventilation to deal with the smoke from the casino. The smell was in all of the public areas surrounding the casino. The smoke made it difficult to enjoy any of the activities in this area.

Cabin Review

Cabin 4H

One of the remodeled ones. Interior at the front with a window, but never again. Cabin was lovely, bathroom was roomy. But being forward we felt every movement. Not recommended for anyone that has ever experienced motion sickness

Port Reviews

Best excursion ever. Had the best time. Saw flamingos, salt ponds with free tacos, private beach club.

Picked up can for $35/person for 6 hour private tour. Very knowledgeable driver

New Orleans

What you expected. Definitely recommend getting the multi-day streetcar pass
