Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom

I booked this cruise over a year ago. Highly anticipated new design.

Boarding was instantaneous...went right to my cabin, seacard in the door. No waiting for rooms to be released. My cabin was done in light grey and maroon (ocean view, deck 3), plenty of outlets and an iPhone/iPad charging port. Excellent service from room attendant throughout the cruise.

Dining: no longer two large dining areas. This ship has 4 separate and distinct venues for dinner and our groups tried them all, (Cypress, Cosmopolitan, Normandie and Tuscan)each has its own menu plus the regular one. Plenty to choose from. And the food is outstanding, well presented and served HOT, not warmish . Waiters and wine stewards were very attentive. There are also other places to get lunch or a hamburger and fries if you so desire. And self serve ice cream in several spots. The buffet, even on embarkation day was crowded but due to the layout you never felt closed in. Plenty of seats outside and near windows. And the food in the evenings is every bit as good as the restaurants. Large shrimps, prime rib and even lamb chops were served. And there is a gluten-free selection as well.

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom

Relaxing decor made it very nice. Bed was comfortable and plenty of outlets including a charge station for iPhone and iPad.

Room steward was excellent.

Plenty of towels and good size shower. Used pump bottles for soap, etc.

Port Reviews

Tortola

Although devastated by the hurricane, it shows sign of coming back to life. We walked to an old bar called Pusser’s where we had their famous ‘painkillers’ and outstanding wings. It’s about a mile or so from the dock.

St. Maarten

Been here a few times. Very good prices on fine jewelry and adult beverages. Also nice bars along the beach.

San Juan

Our group walked around old town on out way to a bar (Barrachina’s) where they serve a great Pina Colada - and this is where it was supposedly invented. About a 20 minute walk from the pier
