Our friends wanted to experience one of the mega ships with all the amenities they have available. The ship itself was beautiful and my husband enjoyed all the activities, participating in a lot of the sports and venues offered. He even won a second place soccer competition medal! The gym and walking/running track were nice as was the spa. Our steward was wonderful and we enjoyed all the ports we went to. Our balcony cabin was a nice size with a balcony I enjoyed a lot.

We chose to go on a mega ship so its our fault that we found it crowded and noisy at all times. This ship is geared toward families of all ages, lots to do for kids and teens. The food in the Windjammer is mediocre with much repetition. The shops are either very high end or offer not much of anything. The pools are full of people, I never saw anyone swim. I learned early on that all walkways would have people not interested in sharing the space. RCI has squeezing that very. last. penny out of you down to a science. If you aren't in a suite and paying for extra restaurants every night, you are definitely second class with them.

On the second cruise, a back to back, RCI managed to lose my information and sent me a nasty letter telling me to come pay up immediately or they'd lock me out of my cabin. I think my husband would have let me in but you never know! Despite taking my picture, leading me to customs, having all the info from both me and from my travel agent, they booted coming up with it. They never did get their glitches quite straightened out and that was a literal headache.
