The Edge is beautiful and I wanted to cruise the new ship after they had a few sailings under their belt to smooth any issues out. I had a solo cabin.

Embarkation was amazing. In just 10 minutes, I was on the ship. You have to check in prior on their app and get an "express pass". My room key was in the cabin.

The different areas were beautiful, especially Eden, which I loved during the day. Great place to sit on the ramp seating area and look aft while reading. It encompasses 2 floors with a ramp winding along the windows. There are seating places along so you can still hear music etc from Eden, but be tucked away a bit. The theatre was beautiful and really did have great views from every seat. The 4 main singers were wonderful, but the shows were a little of a mixed bag. Not everyone enjoyed, I thought they were good.

Cabin Review

Edge Single Veranda Stateroom

Cabin ES

The solo cabins are small, but plenty big enough for one person. It did overlook the lifeboats, so you could not look straight down to the water, but only out further. All my clothes fit in the closet and they had just enough hangers. I do wish they had a couple of drawers, rather than just 2 open shelves.

The bathroom was perfectly appointed, the shower large and water pressure great! There were 3 shelves to place your items as well as a shelf under for your larger things. They have an auto night light which was very appreciated during the night.

There was no music playing on the TV (like on the navigation channel) which I missed while getting ready in the morning and for dinner. If you had internet, you probably could stream music.

Now to the infinite veranda. The idea sound great, and it was pleasant. However, it really didn't feel like the "balcony's" I am used to. While it was nice to look through the balcony area from the room, I can't say it truly felt like part of it. The 2 chairs and table there were comfortable, and if you wanted to lower the window (which is very slow), you would close the glass bi-fold doors so the A/C doesn't shut off in the room. (Like any balcony room, if you prop the door open, the A/C would shut off.) So you move the chairs a little to get the doors closed but it did kind of feel more like an open window. However, especially for the smaller solo cabins, it did help with the overall space for the room.
