Got a sweet deal of price on this cruise. No single supplement. 10 day itinerary. Plus a limited open bar. So I snapped it up even though I had not sailed MSC before. Cabin was fine. Food on lido and in dining room was very good. Service at dinner was terribly slow. 6 pm sitting. Apps arrived at 7, entree at 730. Nice waiters. I think that problem was something else.

Embarkation horrible. There was a delay since the prior cruise had stopped in Colombia, so customs was slow to clear the ship. But there was not enough seating while we waited, they did not have all the check-in stations open even though there was a long line. But I made it onboard, and that part was over.

Limited onboard activities offered. No blue towels at poolside. You were to bring up the orange beach towel from your cabin. No policy nor policing against chair hogs. People would clip their towels on chiars with clothes pins at 6 am. And hold the chair for the entire day.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin I1

Typical inside cabin. May have been a few more square feet than on other ships. Lots of good closet space and drawers. Safe worked will. Very limited TV service.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Had a nice day at the beach. Took water taxi from ship pier to beach front. Went to Holland House hotel for their beach special. 2 chairs, 2 umbrellas, and 4 drinks for $ 25, They gave it to me as a single, 1 chair, 1 umbrella, and 2 drinks for 12.50. Great service.
