We love the fellow travelers on celebrity cruises, especially on longer cruises. The food is very good, entertainment is fair compared to Royal Caribbean, and there is a decent amount of night life. The smaller groups of musicians are excellent in the side venues. The main theater entertainment could really use some improvement.

The pool areas are only crowded on sea days, but between the solarium and outer decks is large, so you can usually find a comfortable spot. The abundance of towels is wonderful, and unlike Royal Caribbean, you don't have to show your card as they seem to ration towels like old war era Soviet union lines for toilet paper.

One thing that has changed is the switch from the Corning glass blowing exhibits on the long club. Now, under new management, there's a do it yourself with instruction, which charges a fee.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

We've cruised most of celebrity's ships including solstice. This should be a prime location, aft corner with extra large balcony. The problem is constant noise of scraping/scooting wooden chairs from the outside dining area above along with rolling carts. We've always wondered what the ship designers were thinking when they placed S1 suites under this area. A quick trip to home depot or lowes for nail on felt chair leg bases would li d cit the noise by 90%. Unfortunately, no amount of asking kindly in Michael's club has resolved the issue. We know to check room reviews and have stayed in this area on other celebrity ships without much issue. We definitely would have been much better off with a much...much less expensive balcony room situated on a lower floor. If you value sleep, or even a bit of quite time in your cabin, please skip this room.
