I booked a year ago from photos to see a brand new ship. It was a good experience, but there are some large flaws. First the good: Amazing food, best on any ship (after 35 cruises) I have sailed. Good staff - very helpful and remembered our names. Unique design and layout which was confusing at first, but still a neat look. Best part: The suite we booked included a butler and three fantastic places only for suite guests. On a ship with 3,000 folks this was a godsend. The Retreat offered wine, beer, a few snacks (not nearly what was described) and a very comfortable place to sit and read. The 16th floor with a bar and grill and private pool, lounges and hot tub was great. No fighting for a pool chair! The restaurant, Luminae as easy access and great service. Getting on and off was a breeze. The bad: horrible seating in suite. Very difficult to get a table at any specialty restaurant with a paid package. Was booked at 9pm each night! No library, no newspaper, no lectures on anything they didn't sell on the ship!! No room service menu. Too much technology and trying to find out anything on a confusing tv site or your phone was annoying, just print it once and put it in the darn room. Not One Ship Layout anywhere, have to use your phone - and I don't enjoy carrying it everywhere. Last and worst. Public seating is made for a very very short person. All about 13" off the floor. Hard for those with limited mobility. And hard - with hard pillows everywhere. There were so many choices of "activities" and 86% of them had a cost - even tours of the ship were $$$!

Cabin Review

Sky Suite

Cabin S1

Giant rocking chair was ridiculous. The "couch" was a futon with a pull out bed under and hard as a rock with hard pillows, not a comfortable place. There was no table in the suite - which was just a stateroom with an extra two beds disguised as a sofa. No where to eat in, not even on the balcony. Need more hand holds for the huge odd tub to get in and out. Need hanging rack for towels and for swimsuits - and the design of the drawers was that you had to pull them out from the bottom, so lean down to get all towels and open drawers - dumb. Amenities - yawn, not really suite class. Service - OK, but no suite services like afternoon sandwiches or fruit. Got ONE bowl of fruit on day 3. Did respond to request for milk twice in 7 days. Oh, and ice bucket holds almost enough for two glasses - tiny! Desk chair in walkway and truly suite is not worth the triple or quadruple price.
