We had an opportunity to go on our first ever cruise to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We had high expectations and prepared ourselves accordingly. Our first disappointment came when the promised wheelchair for my husband was not available. The waiting to board on account of the passport control computer glitch added to our woes. These two setbacks caused a great deal of discomfort added to which cabins were not ready either due to late disembarking of the passengers from Mozambique.

We were disappointed with the cuisine in the dining room and expected some more exotic dishes. For the most part it was flavourless and definitely not served hot. in our opinion the pool deck is actually too small to accommodate the number of passengers. For us to ensure we had somewhere to sit on the pool deck I had to get up there somewhat early, even before breakfast to "book" a table otherwise we would not have been able to find seating.

Our cabin and cabin steward were pretty darn good but there were a couple of days when our promised fruit did not arrive at the cabin. The evening shows were excellent and we saw all except one of them. We found the library had a good enough selection of books.
