Second time on beautiful Divina after our excellent 2015 Mediterranean cruise. We had 2 Bella balcony cabins on deck 8 forward. Very pleased with the comfort of the room and hard working, polite cabin attendant. Overall staff we encountered was very helpful, kind and friendly with the exception of the front desk - people there definitely need more training in customer service. We had a beautiful table for 5 at the Villa Rossa restaurant, early seating. Really glad that we chose this option as dinner lasted about 1,5-2 hrs. Highest praise goes to our excellent table waiters - we parted as friends:)

Our biggest disappointment was the quality of the food in the main dining room, what a change for the worse in 3 years! The menu choices were adequate and sounded delicious but execution was poor. MSC was famous for their excellent pasta made fresh on board. In 2015 we would order one pasta dish between the four of us every dinner just to savour the fantastic flavour. What happened???? Not a shred of fresh basil, olive oil or cream in sight, everything was drenched in some lumpy flour and chicken stock concoction, they used same horrific sauce for a variety of fish dishes as well:(

Best meals in 10 days - jerk chicken was beautifully cooked, same goes to duck breast. Everything else was just OK, curious as of whose idea was to plate wilted yellow arugula with duck terrine appetizer on our last evening? Don't chefs taste what they are cooking or check out the quality of the greens before being sent out to the tables?
