We wanted to go on the Panama Canal cruise. The itinerary was great, stopping at all the places we wanted to see. The excursions we took thru Princess were fabulous. We also enjoyed just seeing some of the places on our own. The evening shows were mediocre....the performers, comedians, illusionists were good, but the actual shows put on by Princess were just mediocre. There wasn't enough room for everyone who wanted to see the shows, so you would have to get there 30-45 minutes to get in. Something definitely needs to be done in this area to accommodate everyone...our ship experience...with all the good things... was marred by an extremely bad smell that permeated in the hallways and our room. Quite frequently the ship elevators would smell like leaking sewage. This ship is definitely in need of repairs and upgrades... we were in a "aft" room because we booked late. I wouldn't advise this as it was very noisy.

Oceanview (obstructed view)

The rooms carpet was old, but the REAL problem was the horrific smell that permeated from the hallway in to the room. We had to leave often it got SO BAD. This was reported, but not resolved. We were told it was "gray" matter from the engine room. Others on the ship were complaining also. Also, there was a distinct sewage smell in the elevators at times.
