I love trying new ships in the first year and had a ball on the Escape so I thought I would give it a try. This was a girls trip for 3 -50 year olds that have this same experience every other year.
Embarkation was the best I've ever experienced. They use the pictures from passports and the info you supply at online check in so it's just a matter of swiping passports, completing the health form and getting your room keys. We arrived at 11:45 and within 10 minutes we were on the ship.
Upon getting on the ship we opted not to go to the buffet and had lunch in The Local for pub fare which was good. Good decision. Our rooms were ready within an hour of boarding
Nicely appointed. Good closet space. Balcony is somewhat small. Bathroom offers significant shelf space. Showers are roomy, with a great shower head.
Stayed close to port and had dinner in Miami Beach and Gloria Estefans restaurant.
The locals are aggressive and constantly trying to get you buy something. If there are multiple ships in port the area around the port is miserable. Went to the beach next to Atlantis and the water was rough so I could not enjoy. I never have to return to there again...
