We have cruised many times with other cruise lines and this was our first time with NCL and we were not impressed with NCL and the service provided for the price they charge.
The food was nothing special and the specialty restaurants were not worth the price, thankfully we had them included in our package otherwise I would have been very upset having to pay the additional charge. Typically when on cruises it is the time to enjoy the main dining rooms and try foods that you might not have other-wised tried. NCL did not offer anything worth trying.
The staff in my opinion were very rude in the dining room and were more worried about getting you in and out quickly. Only once did a staff member give us a recommendation for dinner. We did the buffet for breakfast a few mornings and not one staff member said hello or asked if they could clear our dishes. They would just come to the table, grab them and move on. The noise level from staff dropping pots and pans in the back was ridiculous, it was not something that occurred once, it was multiple times on multiple days.
We had 2 rooms, a balcony stateroom and an interior stateroom.
The beds were very hard and we asked for pillow toppers to help soften the bed.
