I am a 45 yo German guy and I've been cruising since 2001. After about 40 cruises with different cruise lines (Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Costa, MSC, NCL, Cunrard) I think I know what I am talking about.

Celebrity has been my first and favorite cruise line so far. During the first years (2001-2008) the experience was outstanding: Excellent food, great pool parties with big fruit buffets, baked alaska parade in the main dining room, Buffet Magnifique, theme parties nearly every night, great party bands at the pool. Later they skipped the more expensive events like the big midnight buffet or the fruit buffet (I can understand that due to waste off food, but these big WOW-events made cruising so special!). Now they've even skipped the Baked Alaska Parade.

On Celebrity you've always been treated like a familiy member - no matter how much you've paid for your cabin. Now it hurts and makes me angry to see that all those times are gone. Well ... we all know that cruise lines are cutting back service and try to make as much money out of every single guest as possible. The really bad thing is: On Celebrity Cruises they make you feel like a second class guest if you resist getting ripped off! That has nothing to do with vacation.

Cabin 07

No complaints about the cabin. I like the ocean view cabins on the lower decks, because you're so close to the water.
