Cruise was OK for a holiday getaway. Ship (Coral Princess) is showing her age. We are unhappy with the daily "gratuity" charged to each person. The cruise itself wasn't cheap; however, the "gratuity" charges added $400+to our charges. I would pay an additional amount to be included in the overall cruise charge, rather than pay an exorbitant tariff at the end of the cruise. I don't feel I'm responsible for the extra supplement for the crew's pitiful salaries. 2. The onboard facilities for mobility challenged patrons who use mobility devices are adequate. The shore excursion choices are dismal for us. Besides not being able to disembark at tender ports, the excursion experiences are few to none. Also, the gangways at some ports are made up with steps that are too steep to be able to accommodate the scooter/chairs/walkers needed on shore. We only took one excursion, and that was mediocre at best. Unable to debark at Huatulco and Puerto Vallerta because of the gangway situation. Crew told me I'd have to WALK up and down the gangways! ThAT'S NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME. Put some of your NEWER ships on some of these runs. 3. Mediocre entertainment and very little enrichment lectures/activities. Not all of us cruisers are into all the fluff and games. Difficult to watch movies "Under the Stars) both day and night. Too much noise during the day and hard to see screen. Too cold and uncomfortable seating at night. Food was very good and of great variety, so we didn't go to the specialty restaurants. Ate in the Bordeaux dining room. Waiters very good.

Cabin Review

Cabin Accessible balcony

Adequate to meet our need; however, it would be very nice if some comfortable seating was added to the cabin. A ,comfortable chair or small sofa would be appreciated ,so that one person doesn't have ti sit at the makeup table/desk while the other sits in the only other available uncomfortable chair in the cabin.
