This is our second trip on Explorer, the previous being 2 years ago. Both times before we left I read lots of negative reviews and both times I couldn't fault anything once onboard. I have cruised 13 times in all.

Embarkation and disembarkation were well organised.

The food was delicious, especially in the buffet which had fabulous changing selections nightly plus the firm favourites. The Sapphire Main Dining was top notch too.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite Accessible

Cabin J3

Very large balcony complete with two solid loungers and a table with two chairs.

Lots of room to move inside - indeed we got the steward to leave the sofa bed made up all the time for our 21 year old daughter and still had space.

Tea / coffee making was so handy and the steward kept us supplied with teabags and small milk capsules.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

WE stayed 6 nights at Manly Beach across the harbour first which is a gorgeous holiday destination in itself.

Noumea

Went to Anse Vata beach and enjoyed swimming and sunbathing. Free wifi at the overseas terminal was a real bonus.

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

The white sand is so impossibly fine and smooth, it was a real treal just to stand and sit on it. Huge, long beach - great for a walk. Snorkelling good too.

Mystery Island

Always clean water, white sands, colourful fish etc. A fabulous day.
