My wife and I have sailed for 30+ years and with HAL since 2000 - We are 3 star mariners and debating if we will ever travel Hal again. This trip started off rocky and we were give excuses as to why they could not deliver what was promised. This was our worst experience on HAL The telephone representatives seemed to not really in touch or capable. We were offered an e-mail upgrade which was not an up-grade or equal to what we requested. We were shuffle from room to room. Toilet overflowed; bath tubs need replaced; little or no air in the stateroom; difficult to get seating in the dining room. The old girl is well past due a maintenance overhaul. Entertainment and dining room food was mediocre. All service staff were great. the professional staff seemed aloof. We choose cruising as a means to a hassle free and relaxation experience. After after 10 hours of air travel, getting settled with a dry room and dinner reservations in the dining room was a hassled start to our vacation. The cruise was economically price and embarkation and disembarkation was good.
