This cruise was our first on Viking, but we have been on at least 30 cruises on various lines. Embarkation was the best we have ever experienced.

Our Penthouse Jr. Suite was very nice with more than ample room, comfortable furniture and an outstanding TV system with a great number of choices. There were two small negatives. The A/C system did not seem to respond well to the thermostat and we felt the room was just a little warm on several nights. Secondly, there was a lot of noise from slamming doors. Some was from passengers, but a lot was from crew doors. This is not uncommon on ships, but there is really need for better design and manintenance.

The crew was excellent-the best we have ever experienced. The Viking recruitment policies and training are really evident throughout. In particular, our stateroom attendant was the best ever, but everyone did a wonderful job.
