We wanted to experience life in the 1950s again. Retrocars and culture in Cuba which has stood still since then. The people were very friendly and the whole cruise was worth it. But we wish we could have spent another day in Havana to fully explore it rather than the day wasted in NCL's own island in Bahamas Crescent Cay.

The cruise was usual NCL efficiency and cleanliness. The cabins were just fine. The service was good. The food was plentiful and constant. Any time of the day one could grab a bite to eat. The entertainment shows were very good and the nightclubs were well attended/ crowded. So much so that during some of the dances, a couple of them landed in our laps!! A little too close for comfort!

We have sailed at least a dozen times with NCL and find them to be a reliable middle-of-the road cruise line. Not as elegant and Crystal or Regent Silver Seas and not Carnival! Just fine for us but we definitely prefer their smaller ships after we sailed on the Escape.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Penthouse with Large Balcony

Large cabin with large balcony. We particularly loved the cabin service and the friendly and efficient cabin steward. I needed an extension cord and adapter plug and one was provided within a couple of hours after embarkation ( a busy period).
