We enjoyed a previous Viking Ocean cruise and wanted to see Cuba. The major drawback was that the ship did not dock in Havana. There was a 12 hour, rather expensive, excursion into Havana. We enjoyed that excursion but thought that it should have been an 'included' excursion since most people visiting Cuba want to see Havana.

Both ports required 'tendering' so this cruise isn't for the 'disabled'.

We usually cruise with Crystal cruises so our evaluations may be biased. Viking Ocean uses the river boat model....basic entertainment, etc., assuming that you will be in port most days anyhow. Read more
