We just sailed on Ovation of the Seas to New Zealand with a party of 10 between 11 and 76. Like others I was concerned abut the lines and waiting times on the ship due to the number of passengers. There were 4913 on board. I don't see what others are complaining about, the longest we lined up for dinner at my time dining (we were a party of 10) was approx 5 mins. we had a standard reservation that we booked on line prior to departure at 7.45pm. The longest queues was for the dogems cars (yes this was a long line at times) and the flow rider but I would expect anything less in school holidays.
Service, food and entertainment was great. There was never a problem with waitstaff in the solarium or shows for drinks. Even offered service whilst on the adults only pool. Solarium was lovely but a bit warm, we had amazing weather in New Zealand on the trip.
The Sounds were amazing, so lucky with clear skies and with the ship being able to rotate on a dime in the Milford Sounds so all sides of the ship could appreciate the scenery was remarkable.
Great cabin, more spacious then older ships. New showers great for everyone - large or small. Cabin attendant attentive.
Hop on Hop off bus booked when we arrived at port. I Site was located in the port terminal as it is a 20 minutes drive into town. I would recommend disembarking early for some tours.
