The ship, the Viking Star, along with the cabins and on board entertainment was exceptional. The cabin housekeeping crew responsible the our room, 5054, provided outstanding service. The dining was superb in all the restaurants, especially Manfredi's Italian restaurant. The service in the restaurants was excellent. A special thanks to Mr Halil Kayhan and his staff, especially Ravi. Leo and Adrian provide excellent service in the Torshavan. Speedy and Christina made the nights in the Torshaven a memorable experience. Alexandria's piano concerts we're excellent. Our goals for the trip were met thanks to the shore excursion staff. Judi and Dora did an outstanding job to ensure we saw the Alhambra and the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The last shore excursion to Portsmouth was disappointing because Portsmouth is famous for three ships, The Mary Rose, The HMS Nelson, and the Ironclad. Unfortunately, only the Ironclad was seen from a distance. We recommend a separate shore excursion be offered to downtown Portsmouth to include visit to these three ships. This was our third cruise with Viking and, once again, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to more in the future.
