After sailing on many celebrity cruises, we were excited to see the new Edge. The ship was dismal after the Solstice class ships. We are sad to think that the era of Celebrity is over. Some things were nice on the ship. The pool area at night lit up beautifully. The room Eden is nice in terms of shape and views of the sea. However, the color scheme is bland and the plain natural earth tones are just downright boring.
The cabin did have more space to put clothes away. That is the only redeeming quality on the ship.
So I was told that Sky Observation Lounge was replaced by Eden. Sky on all the Solstice class ships had a color scheme and furniture layout that was exciting and gave you infinite possibilities for a large cocktail party. It was also a great place to go for cocktails late in the evening. Eden's design is multi-level which blocks the ocean views and gives you the feeling that you are in a local community library.
Cabin Review
AquaClass Stateroom with Veranda
No champage, no flowers, no aromatherapy, no balcony. Plenty of drawer space to put away clothes. Bathroom walls covered with ugly fake marble that looks like formica. Plastic bottle soap despensers may "save the waves" but they won't depense soap and I don't like using a public soap dispenser in what should be a private shower. How many hands have touched these things??? Infinite viranda is silly. Give me my balcony.
