My husband and I wanted to cruise on the Majestic Princess and chose the New Years Eve cruise to New Zealand. The ship was magnificent and the staff were all very friendly and efficient.

New Years Eve was fabulous and the ship celebrated in style. It was a formal night so most people were dressed for the occasion. We had lobster tails in the dining room. The captain had his usual champagne waterfall and introduced all the major staff. We were all given party poppers and either hats or tiaras for NYE and at midnight it was a fabulous experience welcoming in the new year on such a beautiful ship.

The weather was perfect with smooth seas and sunny, blue skies in every port. Even the days at sea were clear so the pool area was very popular. We went to the adults only area called “Hollywood” on Deck 17 where there is a pool and plenty of cabana-type seating. Being at the front of the ship, there were panoramic views.

Cabin BW

Our cabin was very conveniently located near the lifts on Deck 8. It had plenty of room and lots of storage. The balcony was fairly small but it was big enough for the two of us. The bathroom seemed smaller than other ships and the shower was tiny but adequate. It had good water pressure and easy to adjust the temperature. Our cabin steward “Francesco” was by far the best we’ve ever had.
