Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

This was my first Norwegian Cruise and first New Years Cruise. The mini suite was just ok but the location was terrible. We were under the buffet restaurant. Noisy day and night. Did not get a good night sleep any night. The balcony was shaped strange in that we could see into our neighbors balcony without trying. No privacy. One could walk without effort from one balcony to the next. Older and smaller ship. Not much to do if you don’t gamble. Several boring days without much entertainment. New Year’s Eve party at the pool deck was good. Specially restaurants were good. Buffet was below average. Was not made aware ahead of the cruise that there was going to be a white out party. Did not pack any white clothes. The excursions we booked through the ship were good but over priced. Getting on and off was a breeze the first and last days.

The bathroom had a tub/shower, which is bigger than most ship showers. That was a plus. Separate toilet room, which was cool, but the sink area had very little vanity space.
