We went on this cruise for a family vacation over New Years. It was not clear to us that you could only get into certain restaurants with reservations and we ended up not being able to use all of our specialty dining package. The only way we got into one of the restaurants was to show up 30 minutes before it opened to stand in line to get a table, this is not "freestyle dining" and a very poor experience.
I also have a gluten allergy and was very disappointed that I needed to order all of my food 24 hours in advance, but not more that that. It made for an extremely frustrating experience and one day it took me over an hour and a half to get food. I was blown off by 3 different people and ended up going to the reservation desk where finally someone was able to help me. She was wonderful, Charmaine Aguilar was amazing with customer experience and the rest of the boat could learn from her. After learning about the 24 hours advance notice I still had to wait 30-45 minutes for someone to help me each day after that.
The ports were also all tourist traps. The only way to do anything was with an overpriced excursion, which when you are already paying a lot of money for a cruise is really not enjoyable.
Our cabin was very clean and the staff did a great job. However there were no plugs by the bed so my boyfriend could not plug in his sleep apnia machine. He stops breathing at night without it which wakes him up and he did not get a full nights sleep because of this.
