We liked the itinerary and looked forward to an ocean experience of quiet, relaxing days at sea. There were many lectures and wonderful entertainments on board. We enjoyed the restaurant choices as well. No required dress-ups. We met very interesting people on board. We enjoyed the afternoon teas. The buffet choice for meals turned out to be our favorite. No waiting in line and it was very well organized. If you wanted linguine with shrimp for lunch, you simply went to that station (no line) and ordered it and then watched the chef prepare the dish right in front of you - delicious, fresh, the pasta perfect.
The lectures were not just good - they were outstanding. And a great variety - adventurers who had sailed around the straits of Magellan with a crew of 8, oceanographers whose knowledge was overwhelming of saline and the environmental concerns today for our world's seas.
The only underwhelming experience on board was to listen to the cruise pianist - played with the music in front of her - could not improvise - and every tune sounded the same in the same repetitive style. But she looked very Scandinavian if that made a difference.
Excellent cabin, very convenient to a relaxing lounge area, clean and understated elegance.
