Hello, I just returned from sailing on the Celebrity Infinity. The cruise was very good. I travelled with my wife and another couple who were on their first cruise. We are all in our 50’s age wise. We were in inside cabins 2154 and 2156. The cabin location was excellent, close by the midship elevators. We stayed in Miami with our friends for New Years. We drove to Port Evergalades and Parked our car at the terminal, very convenient. The cost was $15.00 per day for parking.
We arrived at the Terminal around 10:30 am. The embarkation process went smooth and seemless. I also will mention that I am Elite status with Celebrity, We were allowed to board the ship around 11:00 am. We ate a wonderful lunch at the Oceanview Buffet on deck 10. As we boarded we were greeted with champagne and mimosas. The cabins were ready at 1:00 pm. The ship was in great shape for beinig built in 2001. However, the cabins looked quite worn and dated, especially the bathrooms and the beds.
This was a 5 day cruise, with Port stops at Cozumel, Mexico and Key West with 2 sea days in between. We chose anytime dining which was at the Trellis restaurant on decks 4 and 5. The Trellis restaurant on deck 5 was reserved for fixed time dining. Both the food and service in the dining room and the buffet were excellent. There was very good variety and quality of food throughout.
The cabin location was excellent. However, the cabin reall showed the age of the ship.
The bathroom in particular, looked quite worn, including the carpets and the mattress.
The hot water in the shower was inconsistent.
