it was fairly average with a small bathroom with a shower curtain that sticks to you while showering, a closet, and a safe behind the mirror.

Took over 2 hours to get onto the bus, then it was bumper to bumper traffic. This port is currently under an American Tourist Advisory from the government so we didn't feel comfortable just jumping in a taxi but I think I would have just stayed on the ship is I had to do it again with MSC.

This was a fun tour once we got onto the bus. We went to Hell, The Tortuga rum cake factory, where we tasted the cake. They do not show you how the cake is made, it is really just a store where you can buy things. and the Turtle Farm where we got to hold a turtle. Unfortunately it took and hour and a half to get to the bus.

We loved the park once we got there! This was the excursion no one knew anything about. We were the only 4 people on the tour. They linked us with another excursion. If you book this be sure to get on the ferry with about 300 other people and get to Playa Del Carmen. They will get you onto a bus that will take you to a really cool place. You go through a maze without light, a short zip line, and float through a salt and mud bath while looking up at stalagmites.  We all participated and we LOVED it.

This was our favorite excursion of the trip. It was the only one that was very organized. MSC knows how to do this. The dancers were gorgeous, the music was wonderful. It is held in an outdoor area which is good because they give you a free cigar and many people smoke them. You get rum and a small bottle of coke, ice and some peanuts. If you want to take pictures the Tropicana will charge you 5 CUC per phone and you pay it at the door, they give you a ticket that allows you to take pictures. If you have a larger device to take pictures they charge you 10 CUC. This one is fun, don't miss it!

These are actually 2 different excursions. The Architectural Highlights takes you to Muralandia, where you get a tour and can buy original art work. We bought a couple of pieces but wish we bought more. I paid 10 CUC for one and 40 CUC for another. They also take you to a market where you can buy some other things like shirts, leather goods and cigars. You do also spend time in the bus looking at the architecture and the guide tells you about the history of Havana.

On the Fortress trip you will see the statue of Christ, the Fortress and the Hotel National. You will have an opportunity to buy rum and cigars as well as other things and you will have a Mojito, It was the best Mojito I have ever had. The guide on this tour is great and easy to understand.

So while I loved some aspects of this cruise like the captain, who was by far the most personable captain we have ever met and the cruise director who deals with all of the craziness with style and grace,the service in the dining room and most of the food, there were also parts that were really not good like the execution of the excursions and the difficulty finding a table at the buffet.As we were entering the ship, the people showing up at 2:00 really didn't have a line at all, so next time I will show up a little later.
