Overcrowded ship, not enough employees, long waits for food at dinner (6:00 seating), food quality in dining room noticeably lower than all my past cruises. Our cruise director made too many loud and annoying announcements. He interrupted the poolside movie twice and it took over 20 minutes for anyone to turn it back on (and it did not start in the right place). No one seemed to notice it had turned off until guests went and told someone. Room dusty and no robes in cabin anymore. Room service (sandwiches, etc.) no longer free. Evening stage shows noticeably worse than in years past. No lobster on elegant night (unless we paid $20 per person). Lobster has been a part of all the other cruise elegant nights we have attended. I couldn't believe how far downhill Carnival had gone since my last cruise 2 years ago. This was our 6th cruise together (16 people), and it was unanimously and by far the worst with many disappointments each and every day. There were never enough lounge chairs (fights and yelling broke out on board on the pool deck on the day that we couldn't stop at Amber Cove and had an unexpected "fun" day at sea). Once the announcement that we wouldn't visit Amber Cove was made, people were running and grabbing chairs out of the chair stacks, fighting over them ,and even bringing the chairs off their balconies just to have a place to sit. In the stateroom, the sofa "bed" for the third person was an absolute joke. A mattress, longer than the small sofa, was placed on top of the loveseat size sofa, and the overhang of the mattress was supported by a pillow on the floor. The bed was not suitable for an adult and we were not warned that it would be this short.

Carnival, please provide better service and stop cutting amenities. Your longtime customers notice every cut. If you continue to cut corners and cut costs by serving low quality food and reducing amenities, I believe you will see a downturn in the type of clientele you attract.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Third bed for rooms with a "convertible sofa" are not what you expect or what they are on other ships. A love seat (very small) sofa is "converted" to a bed by placing a 4-5" mattress on top of the couch with about 15" or so of the mattress hanging off the end of the sofa. This is supported by a couch pillow placed on the floor. It was a joke. An adult should have an actual bed or a clear warning that the third sport will only hold a child.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Cruise owned pool and beach were overcrowded with two 3,500 passenger ships in port. Grand Turk is sadly in very bad shape from hurricanes.
