I chose this cruise as it sailed over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Embarkation was a 10 but disembarkation was a disgrace to Celebrity with no direction given after retrieving your luggage. Our cabin steward was outstanding. My husband is diabetic and there were no sugar free desserts anywhere on the ship. The dinning staff does not know the difference between no sugar added and sugar free. They did try to accomodate but with little success. Our wait team was outstanding. They always had my iced tea and my husbands coffee ready when we were seated. The dining room menu was good and the food tasty. There was a mistake with our dinner table the first night and took three days to resolve. Lunch in the dining room is great but only open on sea days. The entertainment started poorly and the quality got better as the cruise went on. We usually cruise Royal Caribbean with no problems so we thought Celebrity would be the same if not better but we were wrong. Even with our mishaps, we had a good time. We went on 7 excursions through the ship of which 6 were great but the one to the volcanic hot mud experience needs to be improved. The tour guide new her stuff and bus driver was experienced with the St Lucia curvy and hilly roads. He also knew a great deal about the island. When at the bath, they ran out of mud and there was some confussion who should be suppling it-either the place or your guide. We waited 10 minutes for the mud. When ready to use the shower, only 1 of the 3 worked, so it took longer to get to the buswhich made us 20 minutes late after our scheduled meeting time. I would suggest people to visit this site on their own as to not be rushed. The cruise director, Sue, was great. She was alway upbeat and very friendly. Always had a funny joke to tell at the end of each show. She did sing once and was great. Too bad she did not perform more.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1B

Cabin 1B

The cabin size was as expedted. The bathroom was slightly larger. There was less storage space than previous cruises. Our cabin steward was outstanding.
