MSC Armonia Cruise Review by Chesscat3
- Sail Date: December 2018
- Destination: Cuba
- Cabin Type: Interior Stateroom – Fantastica
The theatrical entertainment lacked variety. Basically the same acts and performers each night, just different music and theme. The seating in the theater needs adjustments. Additional chairs were added to increase the capacity. However, when someone is seated in these chairs, it blocks the view of the person behind them on the same row. Additionally, there were numerous types of dance lessons throughout the week.
Dining at the buffet was a challenge. Not due to the crowds, but trying to determine what you were eating. The sign/label was often missing to tell you what food/meat you were attempting to eat. The operational times for the buffet for lunch was 12-3:00. So if you went to port and returned after 3:00, your choices were only pizza, hamburger, or hot dogs. The buffet did not open again until 6 or 6:30. Dining in the restaurant was often tasteless and cold. I gave up after the 3rd try (lobster was served without seasoning or butter).
The only excursion we took through the ship was the Tropicana Experience. It was a very good show.
The ship is older and it shows the wear and tear of it age. The hallways are narrow making it difficult for two people to pass simultaneously, especially near the columns.
