We'er local, well traveled middle aged professionals (46 & 55). This was our 5th cruise in 8 years. However honest, I wish my review was more positive.
The good stuff first:
Our stateroom was wonderful. Sizable, functional, comfy, quite and even pretty. Our stateroom attendant was excellent.
All food we ate was delicious. Regardless if it came from an included food outlet or at an uncharged restaurant; variety and quality was surprisingly good.
Ship was spotless and well maintained. Never say any trash and always saw people cleaning.
Areas of disappointment:
The terminal/boarding experience was a nightmare. Little structure and lack of any communication. We were concierge class and directed twice to the wrong line. Waited over an hour before their computers went down. Once physical boarding started it was a free for all. No priority boarding by cabin class or even wheel chairs. Restrooms out of order in terminal too...
With the exception of the buffet; we had service issues at all food outlets. Poor and/or no wine stuart service in the main dinning room, the Italian or french restaurant.
Repeatedly charged wrong or not charged at all for classic package beverages.
Had to ask for soy sauce at Sushi on 5?
20 minute wait for a turkey burger at the Mast Grill?
Waving someone down for refills, condiments, etc.
Our concierge never contacted us until the last day via a phone call? I voiced some concerns with the cruise. He offered to send a bottle of wine to the stateroom. A bottle of white wine arrived room temperature with no glasses?
Many interior public areas, restaurants, bars, etc, were to warm/hot. Air conditioning didn't; seem to be properly working all the time?
Gym filled with old equipment. Equipment designed for TV but didn't work. Nor was there any TV monitors to watch?
Boring days at sea. Very little activities for adults.
Nightly entertainment was low budget, very few sets or special effects. Costumes looked old and not fitted. Compared to Royal Caribbean and Princess just plain embarrassingly bad.
At night planned dance parties and bar areas filled with kids? Few adult areas anywhere.
The Celebrity App is a complete waist! Dose not refresh when opened. Wrong and/or missing information on daily activities. Different information provided to Apple and Android devises?
AT&T Cellular at sea only worked about 40% of the time. I purchased a special package thru AT&T that was expensive. Was told because Celebrity is partnered with AT&T my phone would work and it didn't most of the time... Again old/lack of new technology.
On-board retail was week both in product and sales service. Walked into Tiffany repeatedly wearing Tiffany and no one ever acknowledged us. Logo/souvenir ship's store was poorly merchandised with cheap/close-out stuff and very little logo-ed clothing?
In conclusion; we will be putting our vacation funds and time towards other cruise lines.
