Having been on Discovery1 last march we were interested to see the differences, which were very minor.
The crew as on all Marella cruise ships were excellent, and wre always helpful. The ship was in good condition for its age but I have seen worst on younger P & O. The food for us was always very good but we are early eaters and the food was ALWAYS hot. Special mention must go to Surf & Turf whose steaks we have never found better anywhere. We like well done steaks and most fancy restuarants havent a clue how to do them. Kora La , Hot Stone and the Italian had very good food, but yet again we always ate early, Some people complained some of the food was cold.
We had to miss the highlight of the cruise in Cuba because of their bad weather and flooding, But we up for it on the second week by doing an ocean rescue of a group of migrants between Jamaica and Belize ( bet they were miffed we were going west and not north to the states).
Plenty of space. quiet and our suitcases ( large) fitted in the bottom of the wardrobe. Why people store them on their balconies amazes me
