My husband and I decided to take a Christmas trip with my family and to celebrate our honeymoon. We have sailed multiple times before, but this was our worst experience to date.

Check-in at the port terminal was total chaos and that chaos continued for the entire week. Getting on and off of the ship for shore excursions was a fiasco. At one port, we tendered to shore, only to be shoved into lines with passengers of a Royal Caribbean ship. There were no signs, no Norwegian staff there to help....passengers were at a complete loss. At another port, you were supposed to get tender tickets to get to shore if you were not taking a shore excursion. After waiting in line for over a half hour, NCL ran out of tender tickets and told us we would just have to get off after everyone else with tickets. This meant getting off of the ship at 12:30, leaving only a few hours before we had to be back on the boat. A few hours is not enough time to explore much of anything.

We were late into every port and late leaving every port. There was no sense of organization, especially with the activity staff. Even activities on the boat started late (the few that there were).
